There are two ways to search on HearMePlay.com. The quickest and easiest way is to use our Quick Search located at the top left of every page. You'll notice that the Quick Search options change depending on where you are on our site. For instance, our Homepage Quick Search allows you to search ALL PRODUCTS on our site using keywords. You may also choose to select a particular category from the pull down menu that best matches your interests. As an example, the Quick Search options in our MUSIC section are: Keywords General Keyword Search in Printed Music (i.e. "violin superstudies") Composer Composer Search in Printed Music (i.e. "beethoven") Title Item or Series Title Search in Printed Music (i.e. "Piano Adventures") Instrument Instrument Search in Printed Music Publisher Publisher Search in Printed Music Product Number Catalog Product Number Search in Printed Music (i.e. "2500389") ISBN Number International Standard Book Number Search in Printed Music (i.e. "793501474") If you have more detailed information about the item you are looking for, you might try using the More Search Options link located in every Quick Search box on almost every page of our site. Here you may choose the specific category for the item (Printed Music, Video & DVD, Music Software, General MIDI, Groups & Artists or Resources) and enter anything else you know about it. Whether you use the Quick Search or Advanced Search method, the following is always true: Less is more: A few general search criteria will yield the greatest number of matches. If you're not sure about the accuracy of any of the fields, such as the title or publisher, then it's best not to enter it. More is less: The more search criteria you provide, the fewer and more precise matches you'll receive. The most important thing to remember about entering your search criteria is that HearMePlay.com searches for items that match all the words you enter. In order to maximize your chances of a match, you should enter a minimum amount of information. You may always refine your search further if you are getting too many matches returned. But the key is to start small. The search results page features a quick overview of each item that matches your search, including the title of the item, the instrument, the price, the publisher and distributor location (where the item will be shipped from).
